One Among the Fence (MA)

(Name and idea somewhat inspired by Coheed and Cambria)
The Year is XX210, Sometime during the late 23rd century mankind made their move into space creating space colonies, as Earth's environment was reaching a critical stage and pollution ravaged the planet many tried to move offworld to the colonies. With too many arrivals and not enough space war broke out among the space travelers trying to find a place in the new colonies. This war threatened to destroy the human race until a group of genetically modified humans took control and established a United Colonial and Earth Government, they called themselves the Mages and as punishment took Man's technology and left them at a time when humankind was at its prime (the 21st Century, so this means most characters wont be using much futuristic technology beyond what we have available now unless they're a mage.) After so many years most humans have long forgotten the advanced technology of their past and live thier lives comfortably without much of it on the colonies as mages govern most of the opperations behind the scenes. But things are about to change, things that could throw the world into chaos, and possibly end life as we all know it, but a small group has been chosen by destiny to save it.

The Universe---------------------------------------------------------------------

Earth - Battered and polluted, most humans left the planet under orders of the mages, now occupying outer space colonies. Only a few small cities remain run by mages attempting to cleanse to planet for re-occupation. The Final key in Earth's barrier lies in the old mage tower on the planet's surface itself. Earth is protected by a powerful barrier which holds all the colonies in orbit but it also prevents anyone from leaving so Space Travel has become an impossibilty aside from bewteen the colonies on regulated paths or to and from Earth.

Alpha - The First Space Colony, it's a major social hubb where many cultures gather, it holds a vast bazaar of many shopping centers, most tourism is conducted here with offers of trips to ruins on Earth as well as other colonies. Alpha is directly connected to the Mage Tower, giving most of the power to the Barrier, the Key is heavily gaurded in a well armored facility.

Omega - Built in a manner similar to Earth, it is a favorite for colonists who grew to miss Earth over time, it was covered in layers of soil and even given plant life to mimic Earthlike features. It is the most suburban of the Colonies giving it a more homely feel. The Key of Omega is well hidden and little is known of its location.

Silva - A large industrial city covered by skyscrapers and corporate office buildings, it is almost strictly business in the area, the residents living in tight crowded apartments though frequently vacationing to second homes in other locations. The Key to Silva could be located in any one of the billions of skyscrapers covering the colony.

Cerberus - A Dark and violent colony, there's a large gap between the rich and poor. Gang activity is frequent and Law enforcement has since abandoned the lawless colony altogether. Vast Sanctions and precautions are taken towards anyone leaving Cerberus to come to another colony. Travel to Cerberus is stongly ill advised. It is unknown what happened to the Key in this lawless world.

Titus - A Large Watery Colony, Most of the food is grown in the greenhouses on Titus and most of the Water drawn from Earth is purified here in the Water Treatment Plants. Tourists often come to view the vast Gardens and many zoos, the World is often considered a "Noah's Ark" Colony. The Key is probably connected somehow to the Water Plant or Main Zoo.

Zion - A Typical city colony, nothing is really unique or outstanding about it. If not for many test factors Zion would be the model used for any additional colonies to be built, but budget reasons and lack of supplies prevents making of any more colonies. The Key is in a well gaurded facility deep in the lower sectors of the colony.

Alpha Relay - The First Relay of the Barrier, it cannot be shutdown without use of all 6 Deactivation Keys and manual confimation from the Mage Tower on Earth, thus upon deactivation the Barrier would Collapse letting the colonies float off into space. The Colony consists of an opperating Crew as well as 4 large cities worth in population, as with any small colony. Before becoming part of the barrier it was the prototype for space colonies until the planet model was decided on which could house more people.

Beta Relay - Built Shortly after the Alpha Relay because of population concerns. When the Barrier was created it was given the same modifications as Alpha. To Deactivate it requires the Alpha and Omega Deactivation Keys.

Cetra Relay - Built after determining a 3 way linkup could stabalize the orbits of the other 2 colonies. Thus it was the start of the barrier concept using an energy bolt to link colonies together. Upon its completion Alpha and Beta were given their First Barrier Systems.To Deactivate it requires the Silva and Omega Deactivation Keys.

Delta Relay - Cetra Relay - The First Colony built with international help as now more than just the U.S. were exploring space colonization and accepting the fact Earth was in trouble. To Deactivate it requires the Silva and Cerberus Deactivation Keys.

Foxtrot Relay - Delta and Cetra were built at nearly the same time thanks to the large number of nations supporting in their construction. To Deactivate it requires the Titus and Cerberus Deactivation Keys.

Gamma Relay - Long before Gamma was built it was decided to make larger sized planetoid shaped colonies so Gamma was nearly Scrapped until the completion of the other colonies, it was then that the Barrier Concept required building a Relay for Each Colony, and as 6 Colonies were in the works a new Relay was built. Gamma is the most advanced of the colonies as it is the newest of them, the security systems around the Barrier control are at a level nearly as high as on Alpha itself. To Deactivate it requires the Titus and Zion Deactivation Keys.

Ceta sighed, this wasn't exactly how he had hoped to start off this week. His landlady was pissed and he was broke, he needed to come up with 200$ and fast. But first, school.

Actually first off, who was this girl following him? He had never seen her before, was she new in school? (someone can be the new girl or they can be someone else and I can be the new girl, I'll let you guys decide)
